The Jerry A is a 47-foot custom-built Jeffries sport fisher specifically designed for our local waters. She is equipped with top-of-the-line electronic systems and offers a large back deck with a 200-gallon bait tank, a full walk-around layout, and seating inside. She cruises at a comfortable 12 knots and can run up to 16 knots.

At 47′ and a 14′ beam, this boat boasts an incredible fishing platform, equipped with a large 200-gallon bait tank, side scan, and fully stocked with all the rods, reels, and tackle needed. Frequently Asked Questions

Our trips accommodate up to 6 people per trip.

Rods, reels and tackle are all included but you are more than welcome to bring your own if you like.

Depending on the trip type you book we will be fishing different waters. On the shorter trips we will be in local waters from Point Loma to Del Mar. On the overnight trips we have more time to fish the entire range of available water and will fish between Ensenada and Catalina.

Appropriate clothing, any fishing gear that you would like to use (Rods, reels and tackle are provided), sunblock

Depending on the trip type we will be targeting Calico Bass, Rockfish, Sand Bass, Bonito, Barracuda, Yellowtail, White Sea Bass, Halibut, Tuna and Dorado.

This was a first for me and my friends. No way we could’ve done it without captain Nick and Steve helping us on deck to bring the fish in. Never expected a Bluefin tuna!!! All the talk at port about how the bluefin not cooperating due to many boats out there. Well, they did for us…Thanks again!!

These guys are top notch. Amazing boat with and even better Captain and crew. I went on an overnight fishing trip fishing for bluefin tuna and these guys got us on some fantastic fishing. We caught tuna all day and had a blast but it didn’t stop there. The captain worked hard to find some other species after we were done with tuna and he got us on some wide open yellowtail! Highly recommend this operation and will definitely be back out with them!

Great overnight, comfy bunks, food was epic, Deckhand Steve crushed it, he makes sure everyone is hooked up (all ages) and is a genie with a gaff. Hale wants to catch fish plain and simple. If the fish are biting, Hale is catching them.

Six of us done a 3/4 day trip with Captain Hale and deckhand Steve. Fishing was a little slow in the morning but Captain Hale stayed consistent and got us on fish. We all had a great day on the water and went home with fish. Captain Hale and Steve are very knowledgeable and down to earth. Will definitely be back and book with these guys again!
